Made Into A Monster

Made Into A Monster band live The Wall Pink Floyd California

Have you ever been to the Dark Side of the Rainbow?

It’s long been a poorly kept secret that the music of Pink Floyd matches up in uncanny ways when played alongside the iconic 1939 movie, The Wizard of Oz. Made Into a Monster is an immersive, multimedia dive into the mystery and magic of that synchronicity. A live scoring of the moving image, exploring those wild and unexpected moments where picture and sound merge into one. A show rooted in the live band experience, featuring some of the best musicians on the southern California scene. A celebration of sound, picture, drama and light, Made Into a Monster reveals an alchemy of delight.

The creative team and musicians for this production came together starting in 2019 at the Magic Bus Experience, an adult-oriented psychedelic playground with its roots in 4/20 culture. At this and the following year’s immersive Kaleidoscope Experience, creators Justin Meyer and Allan Ritter consolidated a lineup of brilliantly talented musicians, ready to take their inspiration to the next level. And thus Made Into a Monster was born.

Not limited to the land of Oz, nor to just one Pink Floyd album, the band has branched out to play Alice On the Wall, a combination of The Wall and Alice in Wonderland. They have also paired the music of Led Zeppelin with The Lord of the Rings movies. The creators of this production are intent on delivering new ways of experiencing legendary music with classic movies. Come take a journey with Made Into a Monster. An immersive soundtrip that combines music, film, theater, and art into one thrilling ride. Start with Dorothy on her wild adventure down the yellow brick road. And if the band starts playing different tunes, just remember there’s more than one way to reach the dark side of the moon.
